How long will the inspection take? The inspection takes approximately an hour depending on the property.
Do I need to be home? Yes, as we are providing our time at no cost, we ask that you give our electrician the same time to complete the inspection thoroughly for you.
Who will come to my house? On of our highly quailified technicians, will be attending site to access your safety hazards and provide appropriate recommendations.
Will the power be turned off? Yes, to complete thorough testing of your main switchboard and safety switches. Power will need to be isolated to the property. Your technician will advise you before the power is turned off.
What can i do before the technician arrives? To ensure you get the most out of your inspection, please make a list of any concerns you have around the home or questions you'd like to ask, prior to their arrival.
What’s the cost? The inspection is completely FREE. One of the missions here at Bluegum is keeping family’s safe at home. If there are any safety issues identified which you'd like Bluegum to resolve, we will happily complete a non obligation quote upon your request.
Do they get in the roof? Yes, they will inspect the roof cavity for you and take pictures of any concerns, electrical or otherwise to give you an idea whats hiding up there.
Is it only electrical? Although electrical faults and fire hazards are our focus, the safety inspection often identifies unrelated issues. These may include, structural concerns in the roof, pest problems, insulation issues, and mold or condensation issues. Once identified Bluegum may recommend consultation with a specialist as appropriate.
